Nicolay Valuev the Yao Ming of boxing ....

I think if they actually bring this guy to AMERICA to fight he could get alot of commericals and offers and help bring some needed exposure to boxing look at yao ming for the NBA and the endorsements he gets for being a freak of nature with a killer jumpshot! Since Mike Tyson is past his prime maybe this guy can fill the void. I can already see him doing a commerical with mini me you have to admit a freak of nature boxer is very marketable?

Nicolay Valuev bad or good for boxing? oh ya and how come his knockout ratio is lower then vitali klitchko I would be expecting this guy laying guys out with one straight punch look at his fists.

Your totally right. he is great for boxing. he could bring lots of exposure.

the guy that can beat him would be even greater, and even better for boxing though.

            Damn that's crazy.

Valuev might not be the very best, but he's not joke. A top 10 fighter at least, I'd say top 4

Only one correction here. As far as I remember Cornera got ko'ed by Max Baer not Joe Louis. He got dropped like 5 times in his fight against Baer.

i saw one valuev fight . he does jab jab right cross . he was rocked by gerard nobles who is a small HW who doesnt hit that hard , and nobles was DQ by a biased referee .

he is big and his weight alone makes him dangerous but i think any decent HW , and especially a small and agressive one ala brewster or tyson would murder him.

he doenst need to come to america. he is makin good money in germany , he is a star , why start all over again in another country ? USA arent the center of the world .

I just hope he aint no Jameel McCline, where he looks strong the first few rounds, than tires out to the point of exhaustion by the middle rounds.I've seen his fights where he scores a KO early, and he does have good power for a fighter of his height. The question is,can he last and be effective in the later rounds, against a fighter like uhhh,Chris Byrd.I hope he gets title shot soon,he'd bring a breath of fresh air to the heavyweight division, especially if it's a win against Ruiz.
