    Toney isnt on the same level as the guys I listed, compare his fight with Barkley to Benns fight with Barkley for example. He wore you down then koed you.

        Thanks, style wise that would of been a great fight imo. Eubank did still offer him a fight but Jones said Eubank is no good too me after losing to Collins twice.

          168 was such a great weight and when Jones got there they were almost all gone. Wish he got there earlier, there were so many good possible matchups

            Benn was finished really by mid 95
            Liles, Nunn and Collins were still viable opponents from end of 1994-1996

              [QUOTE=Hellboy;7898104]Where did I critisize him?

              Didnt Jones start the negotitations for a Lewis fight as well?[/

              No. Jones always said there were certain heavyweights that were too big for him. Lewis was one of them.

                Murad, Jones's Promoter:
                "We shocked the boxing world when we took on and defeated John Ruiz. We shocked them again when we announced that we wanted the three musketeers. Mike Tyson was first, but he was not ready. It's not that he does not want to fight him, he's just not ready yet. We then tried to get Evander Holyfield, 'The Real Deal' but he would not make a deal, and he decided to fight James Toney in a fight that he's finished if he loses. And if he wins, then he's a possibility for next year. Then came Lennox Lewis, we offered him $25,000,000 to fight us, and when he realized it was real, he wanted to get rid of his mandatory (Klitschko) to fight Roy Jones Jr,, but after he put on that poor performance. he doesn't know if he should retire or fight Klitschko again, so Roy was left out in the cold.
