Ill gove you that he was a bull and he was tough. But he was 185 Pounds soaking wet and would get UD'd by Hopkins at 175. Marciano only fought elderly fighters.

Should we just forget that DLH was a shot fighter and weight-drained?

Should we forget that Cotto and Hatton were past their best days?

Should we forget about Pacquiao's loss to a past-prime Morales?

      I dont.
Do you see any pure boxing talent in Henry Armstrong? Because they're very similar.

They're both pressure fighters that continually throw punches and never tire out. They both get hit a lot, but that doesn't usually stop them from winning, now, does it?

Pac. If Pac fought some of the people Marciano fought, wed never hear the last of it from *****s.

Pac is greater now, and he will be greater when Pac retires as well.

No not at all. But Armstrong is on another level then Marciano.

In terms of accomplishments, yes. In terms of fighting ability, they're very similar.

              LOL

Theres a reason this guy only has 60 odd posts

Left question marks? The only person any1 could ever argue pac left a question mark over is Marquez, But he still got the win and a draw (with a judge scoring the first round 10-7 instead of 10-6 by mistake...or pac would have won both by split decision)

(I had the first one going to pac, 1 of the knockdowns winning him it by a point...and the 2nd i had a draw....)

                I agree with this.

Im not big on Armstrong talents either. He just came forward and threw hooks until he knocked you out.

Marciano was the only heavyweight champion ever who never lost a fight. That alone makes him elite. He beat every deserving contender in his division. As far as skills go, besides his heart and tenacity, Marciano had underrated defensive skills and had natural power which busted up his opponents. Obviously at his size he couldn't compete at heavyweight in 2010. He'd be hell for the cruiserweights though.

Just because he never lost doesnt make him automatically elite. Im not fond of his talents or his resume. He only fought old fighters.

So you think he cleaned out any of the divisions he's fought in? Why don't you tell me which one, then?

Was it the super featherweight division? After he had a controversial decision win against Marquez and then fled the division?

Let's also not forget that he avoided fighting Guzman (a slick boxer).
