off the top of my head he is top 25 surely imo....but then again this is hopkins we are talking about.he will never get the recognition he deserves.a couple years ago when was raking up middleweight defenses left and right,he was only known by the hardcore.the only reason he is known today is because he beat trinidad, dlh, and he is a golden boy partner and he gets exposure that way.i think his attitude and the fact that he refuses to be controlled by people are the reason he doesnt get recognized as one of the best of the decade.i think what he accomplished years ago was enough and he should have retired after the tarver fight.

how could people not consider him an atg compared to some of todays SUPERSTARS who fight only people they can beat?

    thats MY OPINION

30-40 range, so what's wrong with saying Hop is like 60th? Hagler fought tougher opponents even if they were smaller. Hop did the same thing but he never fought a guy like Hearns.

This is including if he beats Haye and Jones also.

        Hopkins's resume of wins.
        John David Jackson
        Glen Johnson
        Simon Brown
        Felix Trinidad (40-0)
        Oscar De La Hoya
        Antonio Tarver
        Ronald Wright
        Kelly Pavlik
        David Haye
        Roy Jones Jr

Thats a damn impressive resume of wins. And Conn's is no way much better.
Way to ignore all other factors involving some of those wins like how Winky is a career jr MW and arguably won the fight with Hopkins or how if he beats Roy now it means nothing at all, or how Pavlik is really a MW, or how Oscar is also a smaller fighter than him too......Simon Brown? who?

Off the dome. So If Im missing a big name please dont jump down my throat on it.

Might as well make a thread on it. I'll go up to 50. And just keep adding to this list.
You have leonard and hearns too high, and Archie moore way too low. The mongoose is top 12. Duran should be the highest of the 3 80s WW's.

Who did Hagler beat that was so great other than Hearns, and a lightweight in Duran?

First off, thumbs up for doing a list. You certainly know your boxing, by alot of the names on there.

But I do feel Bob Fitzsimmons, Pernell Whitaker , Carlos Monzon, George Dixon should most certainly be on there.

And I feel Dempsey, Frazier, Hearns, are to high.

And Greb, Walker, and Duran to low.

But he, still a half decent list especailly at such a short time!

i dont give him any points on beatin roy at tis stage but if he beats haye he is definitely inside 10 maybe even top 5.he is already the best middleweight ever.

You think Greb is too high? Please explain. I thought he had him way to low. Greb is clearly top 10 IMO.

Another thing is that I feel Monzon gets way too overrated. Look at his resume.
