    McLaughlin Group says BAN BOXING!

WTF? I'm watching the McLaughlin Group on PBS right now and there are 4 ****** women talking about banning boxing because of head, spine, and brain injuries occuring from the sport. They point out the latest casualty being that amateur female boxer that died recently. And they aren't just talking about women either, but men as well!

They said there's no place for this "barbaric sport" in society and they have no idea why "sick people" like to go watch the sport. I say put these women in a ring and have them get KTFO! I can't believe a pretty widely viewed news program like this is talking about banning boxing. It'll never happen.

people like that are extremists, they are ****** and never get what they want. imo they do it for the attention and try to do there part in making the world better but there are far worse things than boxing to focus on. they could be spending there time trying to feed children or teaching people how to read but instead they feel boxing is the problem

I never looked at boxing as barberic and you know what? These people obviously have no understanding of the sport because theres alot more to boxing than two guys beating each other up. Long live boxing, these people are rediculous...

Those curmudgeons are political analysts not sporting commentators so what they say means squat. I won't be losing sleep knowing they favour boxings banishment.

Thats so true, i've never really been hurt boxing, all i've ever had is cuts, bruises and broken hand. I've done worst playing Soccer and Basketball.

Some people are so ****ing dumb, boxing has taken so many people off the street and teaches valuable life lessons like respect.

Boxing saves more lives that it takes.

theres plenty of brain injuries, spine injuries, and deaths in football too.its just big news when it happens in boxing because its 1v1 combat, makes it look more brutal(especially to a group of feminist right after a woman dies in the ring)

How silly! If all the safety regulations, etc. are followed to the letter than the sport is quite safe all things considered. And as pointed out, the sport has saved many people from a life of crime, prison and death. How rediculous..only people that dont understand the sport say crap like that!
