    Hmm.

It was a weight where both fighters tried to meet down the middle.

So I would refer to it as a catch-weight at welter-weight.

Thats a catch weight even the articles talking about that fight always referred to it as such.
articles don't define anything. there's an established definition for a fight that happens at the 147 limit. it's called a WW fight

no matter who goes up. no matter who goes down. if the fight's at 147, it's a WW fight. if it's at 154, it's at JMW. it it's at 144, it's a WW fight with a catchweight. if it's at 150, it's a JMW fight at a catchweight

There is no argument it's just 15 people here telling you BURNER!what it is and you being a knucklehead keep comingback with your own definitions.

it's not my view. it's boxings definition of a 147 fight, a WW fight

it's not an opinion, it's an established term. 147 = WW

Thats easy its Floyd fighting JMM at 144
but you can also add Pac making Cotto weigh 145 and then fighting Clottey at 147!

And, he was in the cover of the ring and it was titles svelter welter or something like that. He fought Forbes at a catchweight of 150 just cuz he was making the transition to go to 147.

Floyd-JMM was at a catchweight of 144 and Floyd had to pay 300k for every pound over. It was a catchweight fight
Remember he wnated Cotto before he lost to Margarito.

It is a catch weight also, but Oscar wanted to fight Cotto at 147 until he lost.

Then he begged Pac for a fight at 147.
