      Pac and Cotto agreed to fight at 145 was a catchweight.
      Floyd and JMM agreed to fight at 144 is not a catchweight? The difference, Floyd came overweight last minute of the fight and JMM theres nothing he can do. Double standard?

        when DLH wanted cotto, was it gonna be at a WW catchweight? DLH wanted to go down to WW to fight cotto. marg won, so DLH went for pacquiao at WW

        mayweather/marquez was at a catchweight too. shame on floyd for being irresponsible coming in at 146

          They were both catchweights, though technically 147 is not a catchweight and 144 is. However Floyd/JMM is worst than Pac/Oscar, why? Because, even though Oscar did come down from 154 to 147, Manny was coming up from 135 to 147. No one new he would be so good at 147, at the time he had only one lightweight fight. Floyd on the other hand made a catchweight fight with a lightweight and then didn't make weight for the fight. In my opinion it was pretty gutless fighting JMM, and much more gutless making the fight at 144 and then getting on the scales at 146.

            Floyd-JMM was at a catchweight of 144 and Floyd had to pay 300k for every pound over. It was a catchweight fight
            there is an old article in one of the old issues of the ring mag that show oscar and floyd senior after one of oscars fights and it says oscar could never make ww again and this was about 7 years ago

              Cosign. I hope the *****s will keep their mouth shut now about this Pac's catchweight thing. Shameless Floyd did the worst catchweight in boxing history. Can you imagine? He forced one old lightweight to come up at 144 then cheated him by coming at 146 and just paid the fine.

                How was Pac-Oscar a catchweight? It was a WW fight. And Floyd-JMM was supposed to be a catcthweight but ended up being full blown WW too.

                    when manny made cotto fight at 145 everyone said it wasn't a big deal because when miguel fought clottey he weighed 146 at the weigh in and everyone would say whats 1 or 2 pounds does it make that much of a difference but floyd came 2 pounds overweight against marquez who wanted to fight floyd because manny didn't want to give him a rematch

                      no, it's a WW fight

                      147 = WW

                      DLH was going back to WW regardless of who he fought. they were both allowed to weigh in anywhere north of 140 up until 147. that's a WW fight
