Why is Pac so afraid to take a harmless blood test?


Floyd is fighting SSM on May 1st. You know the guy who ***** slapped Margarito, KO's people with body shots wearing 18 oz gloves, bench presses in excess of 133kg (****ing awesome for a man of his proportions) and has KO'd 39 of his 45 opponents brutally........4 of those losses which came at 154 against much bigger men in Wright and Forrest, one closely fought contest with Cotto....where Shane basically gassed early and a no contest.......and we are to beleive Floyd is somehow afraid of Manny Pacquaio???

ok a boxing fan, good. Now we can talk. Had 2 make sure cuz its a waste of time trying 2 talk with the *****s on this site. Anyway, yeah Roach said he needed 10wks but he probably could have used 12wks 2 get ready 4 Floyd. The man is a technician & would pick Pacquiao apart. Manny just won't stop throwing from all those angels. He would eventually hit Floyd with something solid. B4 I commented on this article I was watching the 2nd Pacquiao vs Morales fight, Erik was the far better boxer & was tagging him, Manny just didn't stop coming. He doesn't let up. Im not comparing Morales 2 Mayweather either, 2 differet styles. Pacquiaos style would lead 2 Mayweather counter punching the **** out of him but Pacquiao is relentless. As far as the testing, Pacquiao made himself look mad suspect by not agreeing & should have agreed 2 the terms just so he can proove he's clean. Its just Floyd is a clown & they know it. He used this as a way 2 not fight him & get away with it. Its working as u can see. Manny gets all the blame 4 this fight not happening. I think that's not fair. It was 1 of the terms needed in order 4 the fight 2 take place but it also was a low blow, an insult & a ***** move on Floyds part. Every other fighter in boxing is going under the same system, why does he feel the need 2 pull this crap??? That's my problem.

ok i feel ya but that was his demand and if the fight is going to be made thats what has to happen thats all im saying so now its either take it or the fight wont happen asking why he demanded that isnt even an issut to me at this point the fact is he did. and floyd agreed to his demands

i honestly dont think manny was knocking people out with this "steroid" power... everyone who fought pac admit he was too fast & overwhelmed them... oscar was never hurt, hatton got caught with a clean punch (hatton had a glass jaw... collazo rocked him a few times).... cotto got caught as well... and recently, clottey wasnt impressed with his supposed "power".
manny gets his KOs from angles and speed IMO... if he was so powerful, he wouldve been knocking cotto & clottey across the ring... which he didnt, his punches barely made them flinch... it was the aggression and angles that wore them down.

as for how he can move up with complete disregard to bigger guys' power... i have no idea... until he is found guilty, there is no reason to push accusations around...

My thing about Manny is he hasn't improved much. He still gets hit an awful lot and by Cotto who is a big puncher. I'll give you the Hatton and Oscar thing cause that wasn't Oscar but Cotto and Clottey hit Manny hard and at will and Manny never flinched and his stamina never wavering for 12 hard rounds? His speed does play a part of course but Clottey was able to negate that speed he just didnt punch. When he did punch Manny was looking like a bobblehead. Floyd is gonna smoke his ass. I can't wait for that fight and if Manny is unable to juice Floyd will stop him. It's all about timing and accuracy with Manny.

The real question is not that Manny will not take the test. HE WILL. The only question here is WHEN. You want it close to the fight. Manny at the beginning of the negotiations said that he will do the test at the start of training camp, 30 days before the fight, AND 1 RIGHT AFTER THE FIGHT! He doesn't want to do close to the fight because he feels that he gets weaken by the blood test. He had that experienced when he took it 1 day before the Morales fight. If he didn't have that experience, then maybe he would agree but he has that in back of his mind.

Again, HE HAS NEVER FAILED A DRUG TEST with all his previous test. Yes, there are other people out there who does take PED, but that doesn't mean that Manny does.

So my question to you is. What's wrong with the doing the blood test right after the fight?

Dr. Don H. Catlin, the head of the Los Angeles-based non-profit Anti-Doping Research, Inc., said a 24-day cutoff for blood testing is not sufficient to prevent abuse. One of the concerns with such a long blood-testing cutoff prior to the date of competition would be the potential use of Erythropoietin, or EPO.

But Catlin said that wouldn’t be the only concern if there were a 24-day cutoff imposed.

“If you have a 24-day window that’s free, with no testing, you can take whatever you want and you’re not going to get caught, end of story,” Catlin said. “[Urine testing] does matter, yes, but they’re not going to catch everything by urine testing alone. What you would do is to take Mircera [a type of EPO], which is available and which is not easy to detect in urine and away you go. You need a blood test.”

Yeap. Floyd needs to handle Shane then stand on the random testing demand and start negotiating at 80/20. If PBF/Mosley goes as expected 70/30 take it or leave it.

But I meant about the "demands" to make the pacquiao-mayweather fight. And since you brought up the Mosley-mayweather fight, obviously Mayweather can't look past Mosley.

His hands will be full though I think think that he can beat Mosley on a close or UD....I am rooting for Mosley sentiment-wise since he wanted to beat Mayweather for a long time now though I want to see Pacquiao-Mayweather fight too.

Pacquiao is sure to retire in 2 to 3 fights, Mayweather uncertain but no one can match him while getting older too...with Mosely, the same with Mayweather....

Manny Pacquiao’s adviser Wakee Salud said he doubts the WBO welterweight champion retires without fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. In the last few days Pacquiao has hinted at retirement if he wins the politcal race in the Philippines in May.
