Do you think Miguel Cotto is still prime?

You think he is? I keep seeing people talk how he isnt. Hes relatively YOUNG and his 1st loss was to a suspected "cheater" and his second loss was to the #1 P4P fighter in the world. I dont see what is so bad about that?

I still see Miguel's best fights ahead of him!

Cotto was in his prime until the 11th round of the margarito fight.

Well IDK but I am not going to call him shot just because he lost 2 fights, lets see how he looks against Foreman before we write him off.

I imagine he should beat Yuri, and could actually beat Cory Spinks another light hitting boxer and end up with 2 154lb belts but no way he would be PWill, Sergie, Martinez, Angulo, or any other top guys at 154.

Never that good to begin with. Has yet to beat an A level fighter without question. Went life and death with a C+ fighter before getting ass reamed by little Pac.

Couldn't agree more! I love how people want to say Floyd and manny are the best fighters in the world but then when you lose to either of them your shot. What kind of fn bull**** is that? JMM loses to Floyd and he's shot? Hatton loses to them both, his only losses, and now he's shot? Cotto was even beating Margarito early, let's see you not wear down after taking plaster shot after plaster shot.

Also manny is the #1 or #2 P4P fighter in the world, and he is just a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE style match up for Cotto. He's so freakin short and so fast that Cotto can hardly touch him, and with a not so great trainer what did you expect? The Clottey fight was a freakin war. Just because it was a war it means Cotto is damaged goods because he got a little hurt? What about Arturo Gatti who was in war after war and took a beating almost every time but won in classics?

So much bull. Cotto's only 29 and beats almost everybody but Pacman, I would like to see a rematch with Margarito too see if Margarito's win was legit, and Cotto's always done well against guys he has to chase and wear down so I like his chances against Mayweather too. Let's see his next fight then you can say if he's done or not. Watch him destroy Foreman and come right for Paul Williams or go back down to go after Floyd or pacman again.

cotto's taken a ton of punishment in almost all his fights ... if u ask me hes no where near his prime. he still mau have a couple good fights left in him but i'm really not sure about that. i would like to see him hang em up before some real permanent damage is done.

He has to take a re-match with margarita. Get that out of his system and that behind him. I think after he beats marg his career will be back on track!

He rushed back too quickly after taking a beating from the hands of cement, Margacheato. Then weight drained himself and got murdered. He might not be shot but he will never progress like he was before those events. Cotto was getting better with every fight. Cheato softened him up and Pac shattered the dry weight drained husk in to pieces. It would surprise me if he ever beat another elite fighter.

Hes not an ATG he never was. Hes a tough as nails fighter with good skills who has weaknesses if you're tough enough to exploit them. Not a fun fight for anybody.
