floyd cant do what shane can do...two different styles...you have to be able to bring some pain to make margarito back off....do you really think pbf can do that? if you do, you dont know boxing.

W many title defenses did margs have at the time? How many did Carlos have? How many did zab have? Why didn't Floyd sign to figh zab until after baldo beat him?

        they weren't.

zab went down in the rankings after the lost to baldomir.

        common sense.

if cotto can drop from #1 or 2 to #4 after losing to the #3 guy , how much do you think zab dropped by losing to the #10 or unranked guy?

Ok you do understand that Margarito could not be ranked by the WBC cuz he was the WBO champ right?

Just like how Baldomir was not ranked by the WBO at the time.

When you hold one of the 4 major titles the other sanctioning bodies do not rank you.

The only sanctioning body that ranks major title holders is the IBO.

Annual The Ring rankings... DLH was #6 in 2006 after beating Mayorga, he was #3 after losing to Mayweather in 2007.
I don't know about that. I have Forrest beating Oscar during that time.

saying that now sounds good..but flashback to that time..who was asking for Marg vs May..who was even speaking of Marg in that light?..you have to be objective..NO ONE was..I only remember the public bad mouthing Floyd because he didnt fight Baldomir..no time was Marg even uttered..and as soon as Floyd outclassed Baldo..everyone who acted like Baldo was the man to beat Floyd sang a different tune...

I still cant believe you tried to pick on me about ratings and you tried to place your self high above me with your ratings IQ you researched acting like you remember ratings from that time. You never told me the ratings for April 2007 140lbs?

I didnt make this thread based on ratings from one place. I remember back then people were asking for 1 fight, then he got upset, so floyd gave them 2 fights. Nothing else mattered no matter where one place had Margarito ranked. Baldo beating zAB>>>>>>>Margarito beating 5 mandatories.
