Floyd was in a lose-lose situation during that time.If he chose Margarito over Baldo people would say that he "ducked" the lineal champ and the guy that beat Zab.And AFAIK when the Pwill-Marg happened Floyd already signed to fight hatton.The only time that floyd ducked somebody is when he retired for the 123132324th time after the hatton fight instead of one more fight against Cotto.The other guys Margarito,Shane,Pwill at that time are irrelevant.

Nobody knew that Zab was going to lose to Baldo.The Zab-Floyd fight already had an HBO date April 8,Venue etc everybody was promoting that fight.and AFAIK he already signed to fight Judah even before the Zab-Baldo bout and to answer your question Cotto,Baldo,Zab,DLH and Hatton would be better

The only problem i have with floyd is that he retired with a hot WW division looking at him, i mean williams, mosley, cotto and margo who were top ranked after floyd and all looking to fight floyd but he retired. I dont have any problems with him fighting baldo at all or judah really (even if that was a bit of a strange one) but retiring after hatton with those potential mega fights available was very stange imo and thats why floyd gets a lot of flack
