Styles make fights...Pacquiao and Margarito beating Cotto doesn't necessarily mean Mosley beats the piss out of Cotto now.

Cotto may be able to win the same way he did before, or Cotto could indeed be damaged goods and would get overwhelmed. May and June will tell a lot about where both fighters' careers are gonna go.

Had I not seen Cotto v. Clottey I would say this was a tough choice but cotto's abilities have greatly deteriorated since that margarito stoppage. I just don't think he's the same guy. Not to take away from manny's victory over cotto... that was still a solid victory but mosley would also have very little trouble taking care of cotto right now.

imo it was a reason cotto didn't want the rematch. Just like the JT/BHop issue. JT won but BHop pushed him to his limits. Cotto hasn't been the same since then. His wins are against Gomez, dude from england, & a gift against clottey. A 2nd fight with Mosley is not what he wants believe that.

How was the Clottey fight a beating? It was a back and forth war. The Margarito fight was hardly a beating too until the later rounds, Cotto was leading in that fight until the end. Let's see you not break by getting hit by plaster shot after plaster shot. Pacman's also the #1 or #2 fn fighter in the whole world, so losing to him means your shot? Fn bull****. he was just a terrible terrible fight for Cotto because he was too short and too fast so Cotto could hardly touch him. Cotto's only 29 and still could accomplish alot more IMO. He's still top 5 at WW with Mosley, Pacman, Floyd, and Clottey. He's still a huge task for anybody.

The fact that 50% of the people that voted for Cotto goes to show that Cotto still has a strong stan base on BScene. I say take his face off the web site and replace it with someone like Alexander, Adamek, or Valero.

With cotto I just think his body couldn't sustain his style of fighting. I mean every fight he's had with a fighter that had decent reputable power he's been hurt bad. What kept him on top was that he was gutsy enough to stay at it. It may just be me but since Margarito he's resorted to retreating when he starts taking damage and that is what's made him a less formidable fighter.
