Rewatched Pacquiao vs Clottey ... and

I watched the fight today from O.S.I.R.I.S first thx for that. Manny Pacquiao is an awesome fighter I like his style a lot everytime he fights you see a lot of action even the ladies in the audience go crazie. But I can not agree what Lampley and Steward were saying in the end of the fight. I like Pacquiao but the fact is in his fight he made demands like the catchweight for the Cotto , De la Hoya fight and nobody criticise him for that. I mean he is great but I would not say he is great like Ali,Sugar Ray Robinson , Sugar Ray Leonard, Hagler, Tyson. Manny did not want to fight Mosley, he did not give Marquez a third fight and what is the worst thing is the catchweight. I can imagine that Pacman beat even stop Floyd but I do not accept his demands for his fights every pound 10 Million $ as a sort of punishment or the catchweight clause . Much worse is that nobody mentions that things. Do not get me wrong I love Pacman's fighting style but I just want euquality.What do you guys think of that ?

It was the other way around for the De La Hoya fight. It was Oscar who made the demands that Manny jump up 2 weight classes and meet him at 147 while Oscar drop down to a weight class. Oscar was the one calling the shots for that fight.

Yeah the de la hoya fight was pretty much negotiated by de la hoya. The terms and everything were set by oscar. It wasn't a cathweight fight neither, it was at 147, the weight Oscar preferred. Manny has only fought 1 catchweight fight, B-hop has liek 3 or 4 of them. Roy Jones has 2 or 3 of them. I don't get why Manny catches so much flak for 1 catchweight fight. Cotto looked to be in the best shape he's ever been in and had no excuses at the end of the fight.

Agree, Roach was the most worried with Cotto, knowing if Cotto trained for 147, he would do serious damage to Manny, even at 145 Cotto gave Manny that coliflower ear. Cotto might have lost but Manny got that scar for life.

IMO the fight with Clottey made PAC looked more GOOD than GREAT...i think he's great but he will get beat by PBF and SSM. ODH said PAC's punches felt as hard as SSM punches, lets se how PBF handles that power on May 1st. If he manages well against that power and decent SSM speed, PAC's in a lot of trouble....if he ever dares to fight PBF.

Yes the Mayweather fight is off due to PAC. They could accept 19 days, which is in the middle but they didn't bothered because they already had Clottey in line.

if the fight is not a catch weight why would you put a penalty. I think pacquiao and roach used this to put stress on the fighter, so instaed of training to fight they train to make weight. That's what they are trying to do with floyd.
