      They got some punchers. They should. They have 1.5 billion to choose from.

        great article by the new yorker about zhou shiming & chinese boxing;

        In the sport that Mao banned, China’s hopes rest on one man.

          One day, we might see a decent amount of Chinese pro-boxers, even in Heavier divisions. They could try to set a better boxing institution, well supported by resources and maybe get help from their Cuban friends. Thing is, even if only one percent of people in China would make a good, say middleweight, they would still have so many people to choose from.

            It's politics, they actually have a high respect for boxing and there have been moves to try and get the government to cooperate to make boxing a bigger sport there. With the success of Pacman though there is talk that China is getting close to changing their old philosophies. I would love to see China get into boxing, It's only a matter of time.

              I hear China isn't much into it. I remember when back in day they thought of having Pacquiao fight in Macau and the idea went sour due to the lack of interest in boxing around there. It would of soley been on ******** and nothing more.

                Problem with Chinese Boxing is South Koreans, average South Korean will steal on a Chinaman real quick. Truth is that they are just a little bigger
