Is boxing popular in your circle of friends...?

I introduced it to most of them, they like it but not as much as me. Only one of my friends really likes it, he always asks me about old fighters and boxing history.

Not really, they have a passing interest when big fights come around, I'm the guy they ask questions.

Nope. I'm the biggest boxing nut. I DVR some of the smaller fights, and watch pretty much all of the bigger stuff live. I love all the major sports but I'll miss games (sometimes pretty big ones) for a Showtime, HBO or PPV card.

I have a couple uncles that got me into it, but they don't watch the Friday Night Fights or Shobox type cards...

My cousin is a huge boxing fan (mayweather nuthugger) so we talk boxing all the time. Actually me and his Pac vs May wars are worse than any on this board.

As far as immediante circle, my close friends aren't boxing fans, but my Step-dad (boxed amateur), Grandma (lol), Dad, and all of my uncles follow boxing. Also a few on my other cousins follow boxing as well but only the big names.

Also my ex-girl boxed amateur and was a big Cotto/Tito fan (she was puerto rican) so we would watch a lot of fights together.

The reason I come here though is because I don't think people follow boxing as hard-core as most do here. Guys like shadows, jrose and others follow all of the lower weight classes (which I don't know anyone in real life that does that) and also a lot of the news and happening aren't discussed that much amongst the people I know (outside of one of my relatives who has an account on another boxing site).

Agree with the above poster about the smaller weight classes. I'm not so hardcore I'll watch entire fights in spanish on youtube for 2 guys I've never heard of but since I know some people here do I can at least know what's going on in fights I don't watch.

Nah, that's why I come on here, it sucks. They'll watch the big fights with me but thats about it. Defintely don't have the passion I do. I wish they were into it more so I didn't have to mess all these knuckleheads on here haha.
