Short version, Debris from building 1 (that caused damage to buildings several blocks away) caused fires and structural damage in building 7, combined with high temperatures from fires fed by office combustibles on floors 7 through 13 that weakened floors and beams ultimately leading to its collapse. The building fell primarily due to the buckling of base supports.
