I saw Valuev fight on the undercard of Green VS Beyer 1, and he couldn't even Ko a crap aussie HW named Bob Miravic, bib has a solide chin but was slow and tired near the end, and valuev got so worn out too that he could hurt Miravic, to me that is a really **** boxer.
You’re absolutely right. That fight was bad. Nik hasn’t stability yet. The fight vs Atilla Levin is his best one. He’s not a best technician in the HW division but he’s a good boxer and always improves.

I'm not sure I completely understand, are you saying that Etienne looked good enough to beat either of the Klitschko brothers against Valuev? Or are you talking about Valuev?
I’m saying that Etienne showed the perfect shape, tactics and heart vs Nik. He gave many problems to Valuev. The fight Valuev vs Etienne could take place earlier but Valuev injured his arm during the training and the fight was postponed. That’s why Nik lost his great shape that can be seen in the Levin fight. But even if Valuev would be in his best shape Cliff would give him a hard fight. With these shape, tactics and heart Etienne would UD Klitchko sr., may be lose by close UD, and without doubt he’d TKO Klitchko jr. Each time brothers meet resistance they lose.
We should also remember that Cliff’s shape and tactics in the fights vs Brewster and Clay-Bay were not as good as in the Valuev fight.
I’m sure Nikolay will defeat Vitaly and Wladimir.

That is he punches people in the back of the head.
This is illegal in boxing and if you watch the Etienne fight,
the final punch that he uses to crush Etienne was one of these illegal shot.
That’s true but there are many examples of the legal (?) usage of these punches in boxing. Tszyu KOed Santos by the shot to the back of the head. If my remembrance is good Hamed KOed Kelly with the same punch. And the most important thing here is that Cliff showed the back of his head too often. And may be even the judge should take a point from him.
P.S. In the recent bout Taylor-Joppy Jermain hitted William by the “open glove” (palm) and the judge didn’t react. Valuev KOed ****o by the same punch.
Neils pointed out Valuev would've been DQ'd in his last two fight, if they'd been in the States. Well, forget the geography for a minute and imagine a ref that will warn and deduct. We could see the first 10-rounder in history where both fighters score less than 90 each!
Seriously though, if Valuev decides that he'll hold that left hand out there all night long, so he keep a guy away and at end of his range, the ref has gotta' react. If the ref doesn't, that slug of a giant can catch Ruiz comin' in and put him down.
But, in reality, it has the makings of a modern day freakshow, or horrorshow?

Well I would be buying that pay-per-view Valuev------If he beats Ruiz vs Vitli Klistchko. But I think Klistchko could easily beat Valuev, but it will be interesting to see how he does vs Ruiz. If he beats Ruiz Klistchko will probably want to fight him because he have the WBA belt. But Hopefully if Valuev wins this bout against Ruiz he does run off Germany and hold hte belt captive there instead of fight the other title holders.
Does anyone even want to watch this fight? First of all how did this clumsy oaf of a fighter even become #1 contender? Who has he fought to get to the WBA's #1 contender slot? This is ridiculous in itself and horrible. So he beats up a washed up Ettiene (A man who had not won any of his major fights and has been feasting on B to C class opponents to even get any wins) and now he is #1 contender. If it were not for the rules or lack thereof in Europe Valuev may not even have the perfect record he has today.. The officiating in Europe is so bizzare that it makes the strange things that Jay Nady and Richard Steele have done look normal. Ettienne was complaining of shots behind the head and he was of sound mind and they were not even punching at each other and the fight was stopped. The fight between he and Ruiz will be a fight filled with clenching, rabbit punching and hits behind the head which will end up in one of the two being disqualified (Probably Valuev for hitting behind the head as Ruiz no matter how many times he looses seems to have a lady luck, a Genie and a four leaf clover on his side). I pick John to win this one (Sigh I never though I would root for this guy in a million years) But in this one I actually would be. Help us all if Valuev wins as he would probably never fight outside of Europe again and the WBA would simply be on hold for the next ten years. (He would fight people but everyone knows what happens when you fight in Europe, if you dont kill the opponent in the ring the European fighter automatically gets the nod and then if you knock them out you get disqualified for using your fist against their fighter lol hahahaha not to mention the fact that the referee is simply there to pose for the camera since they never call anything lol.
This is a joke. Cliff Etienne has the chin of a dentist. Beating him makes you the number one contender? It makes me ill that you have to pass up and screw over 20 better heavyweights to give this fat russian bastard a shot at the title. Don King sucks balls and I hope he dies very very soon.
Gattifan, you said "chin of a dentist". What does this mean? It sounds funny, my brother is a dentist, and I want to tell him! Please tell me.
Also, I have seen a picture of Valuev, and he did not look fat to me. Maybe it was an old picture I saw, and he is fat now.

I'm not sure what the connection is, but I'm sure he meant that Etienne doesn't take a punch very well. I wouldn't call Valuev a fat bastard, but he could slim down to 300 I'm pretty sure.
That is correct. I just checked the WBA rankings via their website to see if that is true. Maybe Ruiz will fight him anyway. He would probably make more money fighting Valuev in Germany than fighting anybody else. He would probably make more from fighting Valuev than fighting Byrd. The only person that would make more money would for him to fight Klistchko but Don King wont let any of his title holders fight Klistchko if he can avoid it. I find it pretty ******ed that Vitali Klistchko is not rated as the mandatory for any of the other sanctioning bodies. Hopefully after he fights Rahman he will be.
