This **** happens all the time in boxing. Even on this forum.
Is anyone surprised when British people root for British fighters. When Pinoy's root for Pinoy's. When African American's root for Black fighters. Or when Caucasian's root for the Klit brothers?
Hell no, no one is surprised.
I'm not saying people will ALWAYS go for their own race because that's a flat out lie, but believe it or not people have the freedom of choice.
No need to sugar coat it, or be politically correct about it.
Rooting for your own countrymen is what make's Boxing differ and actually have depth to it, when you compare it to something like say the UFC.

Racism is negative. He did not wish bad things to happen to another race, he was just happy to see another successful black american.

There is no room for that kind of ****. I feel like he does a bit but to feel and speak on it are two totally different things.
Pinoy power makes me lean that way just as black power would make you more likely to see color.
The fact that the boxing world has more Filipino fans than ever is proof that racism is a small part of all of us.
Barrera always pulls for the Mexican fighter.
*******s are extremely racist when convenient but that does not excuse Floyd's actions.
This is not a one time thing for Floyd so it is disappointing.
Floyd should stop with the racial remarks but I know he knows those that are offended will continue to hate him regardless so he's probably like"**** it", I'll say what I feel.
Forget about personalities and enjoy the show. Floyd is a genius at work and no he's not a hate filled racist but he feels hated and he feels black right now.
When he was on his meteoric rise Rjj was running the show, now Pacman gets all the props.

people always whine about this when it comes to blacks. for some reason, its all good for filipino fight fans to band together, for mexican fight fans to band together. you get ppvs like latin fury, pinoy power. boricua this, mexican warrior that.
but let a black man want to see his fellow brother succeed, and all of the sudden its an issue.
people fly flags of other countries on our soil. some fighters even exchange one nationality for another (brian viloria).
All hes saying is that hes happy a black american won the fight, and of course, its an issue. **** that.
I didint like mayweather xenophobic comments towards pacquiao being from a 3rd world country but in context it wasnt racist, just slightly ignorant.
he also didint "disrespect" pinoy reporters, he has the right to not talk to them, but they werent banned at all. regardless, i myself wouldnt give any love to any media whom i knew would trash me.
