Who is the best American heavyweight hope now?

Who is the American heavyweight who has the best chance of taking a world title away from either Klitschko or from David Haye?

What about John Ruiz? He's really not very good though, he's had several losses against mediocre opponents such as Valuev, and he's getting old. I think Haye will knock him out.

Who is the next American heavyweight hope? Maybe Deontay Wilder? Tor Hamer?

I know there are about 850 big men in the US who play pro basketball or pro football. But what about the other 12,000,000 big young men in the US? Is there a potential heavyweight champion among them?

There is none, and even if there were it still wouldn’t put much interest in a division so deprived of talent and charisma anyway.

Hamer and Wilder are very talented, but they're still in the clubfighter stage. Both Klitschkos will be long gone by the time they're contenders.

I suppose if Arreola beats Adamek it will put him back in title contention.

Arreola would have a slight chance against Vladamire since he has lost to worse fighters, but since he fights like a more cautious Lennox Lewis now I do not see it.

I agree, he would beat all the cruiserweights, just lose 8 pounds.
