To be fair, from some angles it looks like it didn't land.
That said, horrible effort by Chambers, he didn't even try to win. Someone predicted that it would be similar to V Klitschko v Johnson, good call. But at least Chambers had the common decency not to talk **** while fighting scared.
Amen to that. I still don't get why people follow exactly the loser plan when fighting the Klitschkos. I know Haye's saying he's gonna use movement and all but chances are, when he gets hit by a jab, he's going into cover up mode just like everyone else. It would take someone not afraid to get hit cleanly (and KTFO) to actually use speed vs any of the Klitschkos. Styles don't really matter if you have a ram for a jab and a torpedo as a right hand.
If that didn't land. Chambers deserves and oscar for the acting.
He snapped his head to the side and collapsed face first into the floor. It is a natural reaction to break your fall with your hands/arms. He landed face first, without breaking his fall.
exactly.. not like the Oscar cry baby body shot...
I've seen the replay from different angles now dozens of times and Wlad's left hook does NOT land. I am not some kind of hater and I don't have an agenda. That punch did not land. When Wlad is throwing the punch, Eddie's guard comes up while he is simultaneously moving back and his head is going back and to the left a bit. The punch never landed folks. The punch hit the inside of Eddie's left glove and Eddie's glove richocheted into his face which caused his head to snap back and that made it look like it was a clean punch. Watch the replays from the different angles as many times as it takes to see what really happened.
I agree.
Eddie was far smarter pretending to be knocked the **** out with 5 seconds left than last the distance.
Jokes aside, That left hook landed flush on the temple, Eddie was out cold.
The fact that a left hook from Wlad only partially landing across the forehead of the #1 rated American heavyweight challenger inflicting such devastating results goes to show the kind of real power Wladimir posseses. Earth shattering no doubt.
I would pit his one punch power against any heavyweight in history quite comfortably.
