Arreola is the modern day version of what Ray Mercer was in the 90s.
Arreola is far worse than Mercer imo. His punches are way to sloppy.

I don't buy the whole "weak HW division", most of these more ripped HWs competed in a time where most HWs would be CWs today.....its the whole reason the CW division was created because some of the very small HWs here deemed too small to compete with bigger guys.....even up until 2003 191-?? was the HW division

Not sure how you can reckon the 90's was superior. Rid**** Bowe fighting jokes like Mike Dokes and Jesse Ferguson in so called title fights. Holyfield almost KO'd by Bert Cooper. Nah!

Yeah, you have some points but a 209lb HW shouldn't look as soft as Chambers did. Many are just blown up heavy weights. Chambers, Bird, James Toney. The fighters of the past were also in that 210lbs-220lbs range but were a truer 210-220 than these guys we see now.

Most of those are up and comers. I'm talking about the recent past, the belt contenders of the past 2 years or so.

Holmes and Bowe are considered great champions yet they both looked soft as can be yet most of the chiseled fighters couldn't beat them for some reason...

Most of the guys Tyson was KO were chubby club fighters. The NBA and NFL were just as popular and black since Holmes was champion so quit using that lame excuse (I don't remember anyone using that excuse when Holmes, Tyson, Holy, Bowe and Lewis were champs, so why use it now?) to try and dent the dominance the KlitschkO brothers are having for an unprecedented length of time and challenges.
