Just watched Mayweather v. Baldomir last night..

Apart from the pink ostrich leather shorts and pink gloves, I was taken aback by the man love poured out for Baldomir. If you watch the fight again, everybody from HBO gives major love to Tata - both Merchant and Steward say numerous things about how Baldomir will give FMjr the fight of his life - I think Manny even picks him to upset. Lamps does point out that Floyd is a 4-1 favorite, but I just thought I'd point out that EVERYONE seems to piss on this victory and what the crew was saying on that night, not now...much different, Lamps also gropes FMjr much in the same manner he does Pac now, no ****, ****, ****s though

Apart from the entrance you are dead on, it took 4 Modelos and a ton of nachos to get through it - but Manny Steward does dry hump Tata for about 10 minutes...

Well he did have a pretty good year (for a journey man, at least). Don't get me wrong I don't give him much credit for beating Gatti at like 5% or a Zab Judah who didn't even have a training camp (idiot), but for a journey man that was pretty good.

As for Mayweather's performance, perhaps Floyd was intimidated by his power or something after seeing the Judah fight? I mean he fought him as if he was fighting a monster. If Baldomir had power then I'd give Floyd all the credit in the world for avoiding his best shots and dominating for 12 rounds, but from what I've seen Baldomir has very little pop in his punch. I at least expected a Mayweather-Marquez or Mayweather-Judah type performance. Those were good clinics.
