Throughout the fight his mind was on nothing but the famous Pacquiao picture where all the fallen soliders were all over the ring. He said to himself that there's no way he's going to be in that picture and he cover up tighter haha....
Clottey did the right thing in the PacMan fight

imo clottey just ****ed his career up. No top fighter will take him serious. I hope he enjoys his paycheck b/c he might not get another one. I expect hbo to drop him or at least they won't main event him.Comment

I said before this fight that Clottey has no motivation going into the fight but S A M U R A I called me out on it, When african fighters get to a stage like this they alway lack motivation because the money they are making on that fight would set them up for life back in africa, I have seen it a few more times over the last 15 years or so with african fighters, They are alway hungry in the beginning but then they come to a stage where they're not hungry anymore and the motivation goes out of the window.
Clottey was content to go the distance, He didnt want to take any chances in case he gets KO, He fully went into the fight with Pac's reputation in his mind, If Pac had hurt him in the first round then i would understand the reason of him not wanting to take any chance of letting his hands go.Comment

Yes but Clottey doesn't have the timing to do it. Pacquiao is there to be countered, he's wide open. The problem is, he's too fast. It takes a good boxer to counter Pacquiao, someone who will not be hit and counter nonetheless.Comment

I can't think of any other African fighter besides Clottey who would behave that way.I said before this fight that Clottey has no motivation going into the fight but S A M U R A I called me out on it, When african fighters get to a stage like this they alway lack motivation because the money they are making on that fight would set them up for life back in africa, I have seen it a few more times over the last 15 years or so with african fighters, They are alway hungry in the beginning but then they come to a stage where they're not hungry anymore and the motivation goes out of the window.

You cant even put Clottey in the same sentence as those names, Am talking about some african fighters of recent, But am sure even Ben Tackie would have done better to be honest, I dont want to critise Clottey too much but getting a chance to fight the best fighter in the world and all you could do was throw 4 punches per round because you're scared of getting KO'ed!Comment

Agreed. However, the implication that he's from "Africa" (what country is that??) and that "When african fighters get to a stage like this they alway lack motivation because the money they are making on that fight would set them up for life back in africa" is utterly absurd.
