Honestly burner I'm not gonna e-battle with you anymore. We had classic wars but those days are long gone..lol

FWIW Marquez best weight was 130 and clearly didnt belong at 135 let alone 147. 130 to 147 = 3 weight classes.
You have to admit he kicked ass at 135 and was set to go to 140 to chase Pac.

not at the time they weren't. FWIW Spady was doing a cabellero on Floyd by calling him a b1tch/pu$$y and even knocked him down during sparring. Floyd still didn't man up and fight him and Spady was the IBF champ and a top 3 LW.

        Technically those guys are WW's

Hatton had no problem moving up and fighting Collazo...

Sharmba's not a WW? Neither was Floyd at the time...

Spadafora's talents have always been acknowledged by the boxing cognoscenti.

He may be a criminal, but he's no bum.

Sharmba's a midget. His prime years were all at 140 and ruined by the powerful hand of Tzyu.

And yes, the fight was at WW. Unless Floyd didn't make weight again.

Boxrec has him coming at 47 even and Mitchell at 145.

              HA!!!

                Hey Burner, that reminds me.

As a paul williams fan, how ashamed are you that such a large man would fight someone so small as Mitchell?

HBO should've known better than approve of Mitchell as an opponent.

Spadafora hasn't beaten any1 of note...and had a Draw with Dorin...who Gatti knocked out...he went 12 rounds with Angel Manfredy...

If Floyd had beaten him back then, you'd be calling Spadafora a bum or a nobody who beat...NOBODY

I have been crazy about boxing steady since 1965 and I mean no offence to his fans, but I consider Mayweather the most protected fighter I have seen(more than Joey Gamache was). I am suprised that younger fans just don't see this. I guess I blame this on HBO and their 24-7 advertisements. He is a good fighter but since leaving the super featherweight division. He has been careful about not losing his unbeaten record.
I mean no disrespect to his fans but this is how this historian feels.
