Because Ortiz kept leaving his chin open when he had Maidana hurt and down, There is no hungry/Desperate fighter like a fighter who has just been hurt.

Freddie Roach won't let Khan near Maidana. He knows his fighter and doesn't want any part of Maidana. The only way Roach will put Khan in with him is if Maidana gets brutally KO'd in one of his fights, then Roach will want him next.

Yep man me too .He's talented man his handspeed but sometimes the politics ain't fair .Maidana's mandatory tho so he pretty much deserves a shot .I wouldn't say it's cherry picking tho that's unfair on Khan .A fight with Maidana could pretty much ruin his career .At the end of the day Roach knows the right track he need to make him a better fighter .

Khan is scared of maidana but not as afraid of maidana as the freddy the joke roach coach is. freddy and the gb promotion team is really tentative to put khan in there with a real puncher. There trying to establish him in the U.S. before he gets blasted to early in his career. Its just like when gbp put ortiz in there with maidana..gbp pushed ortiz in there too fast with that monster, ortiz had the power and skill but just not the experience of the big show. He froze in as a headliner and got blasted into submission. Khan needs a couple of more fights to get in there with the big boys of 140,,bradley and alexander...hope his chin holds up but i doubt it..

Yeah like after what happened against Prescott theyre gonna put him in against a super Prescott in Maidana. Maidana is not just a one dimensional power puncher, he is very adept at feints and counter punching so to write him off so easily is a mistake. I still think Paulie will take Khans belt and then Maidana wins it from Paulie.
