I was talking to someone from the LA Times yesterday as he went

he said that the biggest complaint was the prices in relation to the sight lines they had

he said that if MGM gets into a bidding war again it will use that as ammo

I heard the sight lines were bad for some of the more expensive non floor seating

Before the Mayweather-Pacquaio fight fell apart, I stated on a thread that the fight should be made anywhere but Las Vegas. My belief is that a super-fight should distinguish itself from all other bouts in every respect. I debated that the fight would do well at Cowboys Stadium. Part of my argument was that Jerry Jones is no fool, and that if he thought he could make it work at his venue, I wasn't going to bet against him. There were those that thought differently. I'll take the opinion of a billionaire like Jones on money-making issues any time.

boxing should favor the fans, not gamblers. props to jerry for bringing the fight there. I hope manny never fights in vegas again so 70% more fans can enjoy the awesome atmosphere a live boxing event can bring.

Max Kellerman surprised me when he spoke very negatively on HBO about what you got for your money at Cowboys Stadium. He talked about how much you paid for parking and for a seat up in the nose-bleeds, then he had the camera show you what vantage point $90 (or so) got you. Still, like you said, many people seem to think the venue choice was a success.

I agree with you 100%, If you watch boxing in the UK you would notice that all our big fights takes place in stadium or big arenas, We dont have casinos in the UK so no MGM arena stealing fight etc The arena is full of fans just fans and at a decent affordable price.

Pacquiao/Margacheato could bring more fans...knowing that TX has alot of Mexicans, this can pull 60-80,000 fans in Cowboys Stadium.

lol yeah right Arum keeps all the money haha.

you seem to forget that it's the fighter that's employing the promoter not the other way round.
