I met manny steward last friday. i thought he was a janitor carrying a bag of cleaning supplies on the way to the elevator lol. so i went and got a closer look and it was him!!! we had the opportunity to take pics with him and ask him questions.

Me: What do you think of the Pac steroid allegations?
ES: Mannys a clean fighter, theres no truth to it.

ES: Pacquiao easily.
Me: Pacquiao-Mayweather, who wins?
ES: long pause..

Did you ever listen to Steward in JTs corner? The only time Ive ever heard Manny yelling and cussing was because JT wouldn't listen.

Yes I remeber. But I'm talkin about him not using his jab and actually boxing. JT wasn't crazy technical but he did have solid skills.

I will say this tho manny is good at fight plans but as far as teaching the technical aspect he is not as good(as he should be anyway)

Cotto will not learn anything now for sure! Steward is known to be a lenient coach who only trains you 4 days a week, according to a couple of guys I know. And his game plans are come forward and try to k.o your opponent as soon as the opening bell sounds. Goodbye Cotto, your career is sure to be over now.

Nah I think he got 2 fights left. As far as the quiting thing go I wouldn't even count that marg fight. I personally think they should take that L off his record. He was getting hit a lot by pac but he didn't quit. They stop that to give Pac the KO.

Good news for Cotto if it's true.

He needs to stop being stubborn and learn from a great trainer.

If this is true it would be great for Cotto to have an experienced trainer that knows what he's doing, now Cotto has to listen to him.

Sadly I think this is a classic case of too little too late.

Friggin' Cotto should have picked up Steward immediately after the Evangelista dust up...
