Cosell, hands down. He could call a fight all by himself keeping the viewer entertained and informed, and had the uncanny ability to piss people of but make them laugh in spite of it at the same time. I also admired his integrity by walking away from boxing after Holmes-Cobb. I didn't agree with it, but it was admirable just the same.

great post....personally i reckon Cosell is not only the best Boxing Announcer ever...but one of the best in any sport....he did his ****e solo, was entertaining and informing to listen to and always had great charisma as an interviewer....Jim Lampley has had too many mental breakdowns for me......the prince naseem episode with George Foreman and that ****** ****, **** ****e

Don Dunphy was another excellent announcer who called many of the older fights in boxing by himself. Excellent play by play fight analysis, but lacking the same charisma of Cosell.
