My point is you can only judge and compare PPV buys with the boxers they both fought.

Hate it or love it, Floyd will sell more than Manny because his fans support him and his haters buy his PPVs. Manny fans spend more time hating on Floyd and talking **** about Floyd on this site than talking about Manny.

What if Floyd vs. SSM does over 2.3 million buys? Pac fans are going to start calling SSM a popular fighter, PPV star, etc? This is the same fighter Pac fans said had a little fan base, that's why Team Pacquiao picked Cotto over SSM.

I'm not going to discredit his/their accomplishments because I don't like him. A successful PPV like that is only going to be good for boxing. And that's all that matters at the end of the day. JMM is one of my favorite boxers, but the man is not a PPV star. If he was a star... why isn't he the most popular in Mexico? Why is Canelo more popular than him and Canelo has done nothing? When did JMM become and A-side boxer who sold millions of PPVs?

JMM is the perfect choice because destroying the guy whom pacquiao goes toe to toe is the most logical one. heck, even a fight with bobby pacquiao would hit million buys because of the drama.. imagine "killing" the brother of your future opponent.. that alone would gain interest..

Not hard to get 50K people in a brand new stadium when you have 3 million people from the PI living in the US. Dude is a popular boxer, but he's not a bigger cash cow than Floyd.
