Being a good fighter doesn't mean you're a PPV star. When did JMM become an A-side boxer on PPV? When did JMM sell over a million PPV buys as being the main guy on the fight card? Floyd could have fought someone else instead of JMM and still sell more than Manny did with Clottey.

No marketing? The fight was in Dallas and Manny was all over TV for a few days. 24-7 is not going to make you sell 100K+ more PPV buys.
