good point and i think that is the way to go, if there is to be any ind of testing implemented on the fighters they should be governed and by the protocol of the commissions........... not fighter demanding other fighters............

edit: also, if you want to clean up the sport, push for better reviewing of judges and refs........ that is where the most corruption is............. at least the end of the day.

sanctioning bodies get a fee of like 300K when a belt goes on the line.

promoters make a handsome living from the fight game.

Take it equally out of the pockets of the various state commissions, promoters and sanctioning bodies. Just levy a fee.

The NSAC doesn't care about our concerns. They care about the the money they have to spend to do additional drug tests.

I sent an email. I suggest everyone do the same. It probably will have no effect, but why not take a 3 minutes out of your life, and maybe make a difference.

Basically it's an option before the fight. If even one fighter wants it, then both fighters have to submit. The money should come out of the fighter's purses. You don't want to give money out of your purse? Then no extra testing.

Boxers need an organized union like other major sports where a certain percentage depending on what they make could be with held and put into pension plans for retirement, medical care during and after their careers and possibly new and better testing. Its just an idea, but if the various state commissions and organizations got together to form such a thing and agree on a set standard of rules it would not only benefit the sport, but the fighters themselves. Just a thought.
