I thought he was overrated at first. But when I saw him fight, I saw for myself what his abilities are. His status is where it should be. He's not overrated. I haven't heard too many people saying that he would be favored over Alexander, Bradley, and Pac. JMM on the other hand is a different story because he's long in the tooth and is kind of chinny. But even if he can't beat those guys, he would be a live dog against them. Thinking that doesn't make him overrated because the dude is a strong fighter who is awkward as hell.

The only thing that I don't like about him, is he strikes me as the type of guy that only wants high reward, high risk fights without fighting the low reward, high risk fights first to earn his shot. Lamont Petersen is not beating Valero. I'm telling you that right now. And I'll put points on it.

in his defense, he's golden until beaten

im not that "high" on him, but i love watching him fight... he's far from perfect...

but he's undefeated and stopped everyone he's faced

now if people are stamping him ATG ****, then hell yeah, way overrated

If figured this overrating was a product of a recent win but this new religion of Valeroism has seemed to have taken hold and as a result produced mass overrating.

Lets look at what he as done, he has 1 good win at 130, 2 decent/good wins at 135 and beaten 24 softies.....that is all in addition to DeMarco really exposing his raw power as more a product of opposition.

Since then and based on his huge accomplishments thus far, I have read conversations where to large an amount of posters favor him over guys like JMM, Bradley, Alexander, and I have yes read Pac too.

Realistically he has not even proven to be world class at 135 and now he is beating proven world class guys at 140 and beyond? at this point I would call him vs Juan Diaz a pick'em fight and Paulie would absolutely tool him.

I actually do like Valero but c'mon, his record consisting of mostly soft opposition in Venezuela doesn't make him that great.
Lets give him some time before he start calling him "the next Pacquiao", which I have heard him referred to on here.
Those guys are just Bandwagoners. All the dudes with Caveman sigs and ****, bandwagoners. I know who the pre-hype Valero fans are and we don't talk about Valero like some sort of god.

I personally wouldn't favor him over Bradley or Alexander just yet, they are big durable guys. Pacquiao? he has a chance against him because Pacquiao's chin isn't all that great and they are basically the same style of fighter.

JMM, sorry to say but he would get ktfo for the first time in his career if he faught Valero. Unlike Pacquiao, Valero is 1-punch kayo kinda guy. Pacquiao is the guy who has power but needs to barrage you with 100+ punches first.

(not in response to you spray ->) Valero is not the next Pacquiao. Fuck that ****. Valero is EDWIN MUTHAFUCKIN VALERO. I condemn anyone who calls him the next Pacquiao. I don't even like that Caveman fanname bull****. El Inca, Dinamita are his nicknames, not no damn Caveman ****.

i rate him the same as devon. just diff styles. bradley may be rated higher because of a few more rated names on his resume but it's a tossup between these 3 if ever they fight.
