Mayweather may have to give into Pacquiao about the blood testing

n reading some of the comments made by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, it seems like it might be a better idea for Floyd Mayweather Jr. to look in another direction for a fight rather than pursuing a fight with Manny Pacquiao. At Yahoo Sports, Arum said when speaking about negotiating with Mayweather, “You don’t negotiate. Neville Chamberlain negotiated with Hitler in Munich, and look what happened. Let the commission set whatever kind of drug testing. It has to be amplified, then that’s up to them. The only way a fight can be is if Mayweather want to fight and signs a contract like [everyone] else signs a contract.”

The commission won’t require that blood testing be done for this fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao, and without them directing that the testing be done, it will require for Mayweather to given into his requests for random blood testing. Will that happen? Who knows? It would be one of the few times that Mayweather has given in for anything. It would be then interesting to see if the $10 million dollar per pound weight clause, which was asked for by Pacquiao’s side during the last negotiations with Mayweather, would be put in the contract with him this time.

That might leave Mayweather feeling less than pleased, especially if he had given in about the blood testing that he wanted. Mayweather might want to forget about the whole thing and look in another direction. If he’s able to make $10 million per fight against good fighters, he doesn’t need to have to cave in and not accept what he wants in a deal with Pacquiao.

It would, of course, take longer for Mayweather to make the back the kind of money that he would make in a fight with Pacquiao, but he has time on his side. Mayweather isn’t planning on retiring and going into politics like Pacquiao at some point in the near future. Mayweather can make big money fighting guys like Edwin Valero, Andre Berto, Saul Alvarez and Paul Williams. He doesn’t have to give in if he doesn’t want to and take less than he wants in a fight with Pacquiao.

Seriously, because Pac will still be throwing 1300 punches a fight thanks to the chicken he grew up on.

i think floyd wants this fight, but could care less for giving in, he has made a stand and i believe he will stick by it, i think he will be more flexable this time, but i dont think he will back off the random drug tests

I really can't see it happening... Mosley has a very realistic chance of beating Floyd anyway. And if he does; bye Floyd. Mosley and Pacquiao can fight to determine the best in the world. Floyd can take a walk. Dammit I hope that happens, I do think Floyd is a marvelous fighter but he just pisses me off. I find it ironic how he was on 24/7 counting out a million dollars in cash and later had to borrow money from Golden Boy. Silly cu nt
