He isn't great... but he did land a punch behind his ear.. I feel like it was just a bad spot where he got hit at.. he still got up.. somewhat wobbly but was defending well.. Green maybe landed 2 our of 20 shots. I am not defending the stoppage, maybe a BIT premature, but you do have to throw back to give the ref a reason to let it continue. But I don't feel like Roy even got a chance to get warmed up and get his offense going.

I think Danny green TKO 1 Roy Jones... Sounds WAYYYYY worse then what it really is. And I think that's what makes it so hard to buy into the Hopkins fight, but I do think Roy has more left then what was showin in that fight.

Not a whole lot left, but certainly more than that... Bernard is going to box.. and Bernard throws about 35-45 punches a round which is exactly the kind of fight Roy needs.

Is it possible for Green to have landed a fluke punch just in a bad spot?

I know it sounds somewhat ridiculous... but really. Possible?
The Tarver knockout was a fluke shot....the punch green threw was straight and accurate. What was it a straight right to Jone's temple?

No it was an overhand right that landed behind the ear...

A lot of B.S. with that fight-Danny Green had twice the length of wrappings and in between the layers was adhesive within each layer of wrappings. It would make the wrappings like a rock.
They tried to pawn off some used gloves to Jones, and when he complained, they said they would give him un-used gloves, but Danny will not change his wrappings-even though Jones was demanding that they should be changed as they were deemed illegal according to Roy.

To make it worst, even though Roy complained to the ref,the ref had told Jones if he didn't go to the ring,in spite of these wrappings,he would be DQ'd.

At the fight live (I live in Sydney) there was major issues about 3 things before Jones came out-1 was the issue of gloves, and 2-the issue of wraps and 3-who should enter the ring first. When Jones came out to his entrance,he looked disturbed.I made the comment that he looks distracted and bothered about something...a week later I seen the complaint and the submitted evidence....seems a bit su****ious to me,but it doesn't change the fact that Jones got hit.Would he have reacted different if the wraps were at a proper amount with no adhesive tape between every layer...who knows...

Whens the last time Bhop had a KO(2004 ODLH).?

Hpkins has a fairly low punch output.

So if he dosen't KO or overwhelm RJJ he has to outbox him.

That makes it a closer fight.

I think Roy's speed and power can keep Bhop honest.

              Should be interesting.
Glen Johnson was never mistaken for a puncher, even in his prime, and hadn't scored a knockout in more than three years prior to facing Roy.

But, Johnson is/was known as a pressure fighter. Somebody who is going to fight 3 minutes of every round for 12 rounds. Hopkins right now is not that type of fighter.

On the flip side... Roy was knocked out just 4 months prior.

It is bad for Australian boxing....not to mention it was the second time Roy left his country and got screwed.I hope the commission responds properly. You don't treat a legend like this-especially in a country like Australia that "prides itself" on giving people a fair chance....

How do you see the fight potentially going?
