Then you obviously haven't watched many fights.

Lots of boxers fight just to survive. The problem is that most of them wait until the last 2-3 rounds, whereas Clottey fought that way from the opening bell.

I have never seen a boxer do that the whole fight is what I meant.

Anyways, My point is why would you just go into a fight without even trying to win? It just defeats the whole object of the fight and makes a mockery of the people who bought the PPV

Yh, I seen like veteren fighters fighting defensively and not really trying but this was a huge fight. "The Event" supposedly and one of the guys was just there to get a payday. I never want to see Clottey get a big fight again, It's not his style. I have no problem with defensive boxers like Floyd and Winky Wright doing what they have to do but its totally different when a guy goes in there and does nothing at all other than hide behind his gloves.

And its takes away even more credibility from Pacquiao because Clottey didnt even try to win. There was no way he tried to win the fight which makes it very boring.

Clottey fought exactly like Clottey that fight. He can be easily outworked and is a low output fighter. That is probably why Roach picked Clottey to fight Pac in the first place.

I'm amazed at all these non-boxing fans who are appalled over the Pac vs Clottey performance.

True boxing fans (not people who just watch one fighter) knew it was a stylistic mismatch. Just like we knew that JMM was totally mismatched against PBF.
