With Pac's power and speed at 140, combined with Alexanders flaws....this one could get very ugly.

No you're totally right, Thats what would happen to devon no need to sugarcoat it, If the fight happens now even Pacquiao fans would feel sorry for devon by the time Pac done with him.

Remember how everyone including Pac wanted the Diaz fight stopped and the referee let it continue or how everyone wanted the Calzaghe-Lacy fight stopped? I know some people really want to see Pac against African american guys but dont let him ruin an up and comer like devon..

First of all, I black myself, and second I brought it up because along with Ward, Alexander is one of our best up and coming AA fighters we have right now (and possible the next face of boxing).

Reid and Lacy (just like Devon) were in similar situations in the sense they were in line to be the next great AA fighters. To me I don't see the big deal, and the I see alot of parallels between all 3.

Is it better if he ruins Valero, who has brain problems? Khan's up and coming and people want to see him ruined. I'm just not buying it.

Good point GDS. Pac would ruin Valero.

He needs to stop picking on lightweights and fight Mosley-Mayweather winner, Cinton, Williams, Bradley or Berto.

No, I knew you were black. I've read this board before I started posting and recalled a story about you sarcastically calling yourself a sellout for rooting for Duran over Leonard. But I could care less about that. I just don't think it's Pac's job to be watching over Alex's career. Alex may be young, but Bradley and Alex are better choices than Valero.

also the difference is that Valero is pushing 30, where as Alexander is 23 and not even in his physical prime. Alexander will improve a lot, whereas Valero is pretty much gonna make small improves and fight the same way until the time he retires.

The Valero now, will be the same Valero 2-3 years down the road, with minor improvements. Devin in 2-3 years cold be a top 5 pound for pound fighter and elite boxer in the sport if he continues to work hard and improve.

Believe me when I say this, Team Pac is doing Alexander a huge favor by not fighting him this fall. Don't get me wrong, Devon is improving fast, but he has a ways to go and it makes no sense ruining a kid by putting him in there with the Pacman.
                I totally agree!!!!

Cintron doesn't deserve a Pac fight. Getting a gift over Martinez, basically quting against Tony twice, and running like a women from Williams elimates any chances at the Pacman. On top of that, his greasy @ss remarks about Manny sure as hell killed any chances he had.

Also Valero has a better chance and Manny than Berto. Berto is by far one of the most overrated fighters and if people can't see this, then I really don't have much to say to them.

Williams on the other hand, I wouldn't mind seeing. Only prob is that it makes no sense to fight him. He has no belt, Isn't a top guy at 147, and doesn't bring fans. Alteast Valero would make for an exciting fight and will allow Pac to keep his ring belt if Valero beats peterson and the fight is at 140. Williams gets a belt, then we can talk.

Devon Alexander is a black american like he's get the fight anyway.

I didn't know Pac had a habit of picking on lightweights
