I agree with you but if Mosley manages to win and Mayweather uses his immediate rematch cause stipulated in his contract, then we could be talking another year or more before pac vs mayweather/mosley is able to happen.
So IF the obvious fight can't be done, I'm definitely not tuning out of a valero fight.

I think whats being lost on some of us here is that this fight wouldn't happen until late November or possibly December. So who's to say Valero hasnt established himself at 140 yet by then. He'd either haven beaten somebody atop the division or been beaten by then. So who knows what will be the case by then. I agree Valero hasn't earned it yet but if he does rack in a big win at 140 a fight between 2 hard-hitting power punchers, who are all guts action paccked fighters from 2 countries where they are beloved, wouldn't exactly exactly be a hard sell. Especially after the HBO machine gets behind it.
I just dont think the excitement it would generate IF valero establishes himself,would necessarily be a bad thing for our favorite sport.

I think you right and wrong.You are right this would be great for the sport with their styles it would be great.But timing is everything.Right now Pac need's be fighting the winner of the may 1 showdown.Noway Val is goin to fight someone of some importance this year.Uncle bob still has Val in the baby pen.So if these guy's fought this year it would be what ever for me and alot of other fan's who say fight the winner of the may 1 showdown.Val is not ready and would be beatin badley by the Pacmonster right now.

Exactly! you took the words out of my mouth! these are the kind of fights fans should get! we don't want a stiff ass heavy bag like Clottey being picked apart for 12 rounds letting Manny do all the work.
