Out of those 60 million blacks how many of them root for a person or team in any sport based on NATIONALISTIC PRIDE like Pinoys, Mexicans, or Puerto Ricans?

Thats was a dumbass a reply.

Word if that was the case Floyd would be a Billionaire by now. Hell I know a large amount of black *******s. We don't support boxers based on race. At least most of us don't.

        • I personally think its more impressive that Pac vs Clottey sold what it did and packed 50,000+ in Cowboys Stadium considering most avg boxing fans don't know who Clottey is.

Mosley vs Mayweather is a card of two superstars in the sport, of course it will do better, it's a better fight.

That's not a knock on Pacquaio though.

          • Research has been done and Floyd is very popular in minority communities and they do buy his fights in droves. I'm black and I get them.

Mosley is likable and a great fighter. Mayweather doesn't mind playing the villain. And despite a myth that is reported on the Internet from time to time, not everyone watches Mayweather fights in hopes that he will lose. He has a fan base in the urban American market that boxing hasn't seen since Mike Tyson

Floyd and Zab nearly did 400,000. that is alot in itself.

But you don't see people parading about the fact that Pacquiao did that and Floyd didn't because it makes no difference, it doesn't make Floyd any less of a fighter. Mosley vs Mayweather SHOULD outsell either that PPV or any PPV Pac's been in because IT IS a marquee fight, nobody is denying that.
Come on man you on some bull**** right now. To say people don't care is bull**** cause damn near every artcle about the Pac vs. Clottey fight talks about the bold. It doesn't matter who starts it in every thread where people talk about PBF or Manny the talk about the "REAL DRAW" or "PPV KING" is brought up so you can't say people don't care cause if they didn't we would not get a thread with this many responses and other threads that have gotten many more responses. If YOU don't care I can understand and respect that.

                • OF COURSE Mayweather vs Mosley is going outsell Pacquiao vs Clottey or any previous fight Pac's been in on PPV. You'd be ****** to think otherwise. Floyd and Mosley are both stars of the sport and they've been on a collision course for years. It's a marquee fight. But why go the extra mile to **** on what Pac's doing? On his name alone, he packed 50,000 + into Cowboys Stadium.Floyd's NEVER seen a crowd like that before and possibly never will since he won't fight outside Vegas.

BTW, a Floyd vs Pacquiao fight MUST have the type of atmosphere Cowboys Stadium showed. Can you imagine the attendance for that fight??? **** a hotel...

If Floyd-Shane beats every PPV of Manny, then there should be no doubt that Floyd is the current cash cow of boxing.
You have to base it on current popularity, not what Floyd did with giant names such as Oscar. That was then. This is now. Would he do 2.4 million PPV's with anyone else but Pacquiao now? Nowhere near. His last PPV sold less than Pacquiao vs. Clottey, as you know, so how is he the cash cow in terms of PPV? It absolutely depends on who he's fighting. He's always gonna draw good numbers, but to think he'd do anything like what he did with Oscar is downright delusional. The only fighter he pulls over 2 million with is Pacquiao.

Speaking of Pacquiao, well since Floyd took his almost 2 year break, Manny's popularity has soared and he is more popular than he was now than when he fought Oscar.

What Floyd did two years ago (or more) with the biggest draws in the sport isn't an accurate reflection of how he will sell now. I mean, take a look at Floyd's PPV sales before Oscar. They were not special. They were average. Floyd doesn't sell 2 million+ PPV's by himself. Never.

That is why I feel they should have saved Cowboys stadium for a fight of that magnitude.
