ah well, the Super six wasn't that all exciting after all that hype in the beginning...without Lucian Bute, feels a bit empty as he should be there and not Green...

Right now with super six there have been major postponements and we are still in Stage 1. The fighters have another 2 fights before they even start eliminating people.
I agree. If the fight gets delayed they should call the whole tourney off. Delay upon delay upon delay. It's jinxed. It must be because of the format. Fights outside the supersix never gets postponed. So call it off. fans would rather see the Andre's fighting cannonfodder for another year and seeing AA and Kessler staying in Europe fighting low-quality imports.

This is unfortunate. I was ready to see this scrap. But like AW said rather they both be 100% than anything less. Matter of fact that works out for us Boxing fans even more, as they plan to give us that fight after the Khan vs. Paulie fight and right before the Cotto vs. Foreman w/ A. Peterson vs. H. Soto. Good Glory Be!!!!! It's gonna be a hot spring for Boxing.

Ward is shook man, enough injury delays and stuff with every other boxing match that is supposed to happen nowadays. Just say you aren't ready and need more time to strategize.

j/k can't wait for this one

What a coincidence, Goosen's fighter (Ward) can't fight on the same night as Goosen's other fighter (Arreola) who was on another network. How serendipitous for Goosen-Tutor.

Bring a P-Will fight to DC and I'll overlook these shenanigans.

              Right on the spot, BattlingNelson.

Lucien Bute had a layoff due to a knee injury in 2008. And he never fought Green, by the way.

But this is the Super Six, other promoters are envious, and they will send their people flocking into the internet forums trying to put the tournament down.

Anyway, the interesting question is: Does this affect the Kessler vs. Froch fight on April 24? It was supposed to be a doublebill on Showtime.

Aint that the truth. Hell, Paul trains here in DC they might as well put a fight on here. He'd get a helluva turn out, **** I know I'd be there.

Goossen is behind this, has nothing to do with Ward.

He just isn't gonna let one of his top fighters fight without his support on 4/24

This is just an example of how HBO is trying to savotage this Showtime tournament. They made an opening and gave the date to Arreola knowing that Ward was already scheduled on that day. They knew that Goossen would not be able to reject an HBO offer for Arreola in good faith so he had to do what was best for his man.

HBO deserves the blame for this, they have gone out of the way to schedule fights to compete with the Super 6 dates and they have targeted the Super 6 promoters to create conflicts of interest.

Ultimately this delay will be good for Ward, Showtime and The Super 6 because the fight won't end up competing with an HBO card unless HBO again goes out of their way to schedule something on the resceduled date.

Hmmm, interesting, some sly positioning by Goosen by the looks of it. There are really only 2 competing yeah? HBO and Showtime. Cant they just sort their **** out and they can both have the spotlight? It seems HBO is a little jealous of Showtime, they want all the cookies, no share its mine.

HBO is clearly trying to sabotage this tournament.

Sadly they are doing a decent job despite the fact that The Super 6 and the fights it produces are head and shoulders above any HBO offering of recent memory.

HBO is like a politician who spends all his resources running a smear campaign on his opponent instead of emphasizing their own personal strengths.
