But Floyd was offered Mosley, Williams and Cintron(who he'd beat) as his next HBO fight and he refused. The HBO pressure forced him into retirement and when HBO complained, he called them racist(especially Emanuel who publicy critised his refusal to mix it up with welterweights)

Well, Mosley is an experience fighter who keeps himself in great shape in between fights, More over he had a chance to fight Mayweather at the right time in 2006 and he decline telling Mayweather to go fight Margarito for the $8 million that was on offer, Thats why i never felt sorry for Mosley when he was begging for a fight with Mayweather or Pacquiao.

You are right and that is true Mosley has kept himself in great shape and I am not counting him out. But he has been boxing since he was a little kid and is not the fighter he was 6 years ago. I just was hoping to keep the fight in perspective.

ppl age diffrently. RJ is 3-4 years younger then hopkins but hes way more shot. mosley hasnt taken as much punishment as tito and oscar, and hes better at staying fit between fights then it could just be his genes aswell cuz i figure that has something to do with it too.

my point is age is just a number. is mosley in his prime? no. there has been a better version of shane mosley then the one who will fight floyd. but is mosley still game, is he still a top fighter? hell yeah. he might not be as good as HE used to be, but hes still better than the vast majority of fighters out there. hes still a top5 p4p fighter on everyones list ffs. and hes the toughest fight out there for floyd.

I wished they'd fought earlier too, but now is still a great time after his impressive showing against Margarito. I also wish Shane and Tito met.
