How dare these people purchase tickets to a fight and then have the nerve to enjoy themselves, especially near the city I live in. I was completely disgusted. I mean, I was standing up telling people to go home. Yelling at them to go spend their money attending UFC fights and that they weren't welcome here. The 20-30 hardcore boxing fans would have been enough to make the fight an event itself. I didn't even enjoy the fight as these, inconsiderate, loud, obnoxious people cheered and yelled. I mean, WTF? Who DOES that at a sporting event? This was truly a horrible night. I hope NOTHING of the same happens ever again.

I would be more content if a WW champion chooses a lightweight champion. I'm sure REAL HARDCORE boxing fans would attend that.
I was opposed to that farce as well you simpleton. Just because I'm not tugging on Mannys balls like you doesn't mean I'm *****. I know thats the case with most on here but not me.

You'll find that the point of logic behind your argument is absolutely pointless, just like your existence. And shouldn't you be on the training forums giving pointless advice about boxing technique. I always love hearing training advice from a guy who smokes a pack of cigarettes after his workout.
And a guy who would beat the **** out of you as well for that matter..

You could tell it was the first time they've ever been to a boxing event, and probably the first fight they watched in it's entirety. They just showed up because their aint **** to do in Dallas when the Cowboys aint' playing.

Heaven forbid boxing try to broaden its fanbase. We'd all be subject to more fights on network tv and basic cable, more coverage in the media, and more kids becoming interested in it as a profession.

Then again, we'd probably get more people like you on the boards.

Life is a double edged sword.

By your description, I suppose you were there live too. Good thread, lol.

How many "real" boxing fans were at Mayweather/Marquez? Arguably the two best "boxers" of our generation.....how many "real" fans were at Marquez/Diaz (FOTY)? How many "real" fans were at P-Will/Martinez?

I was there, and I can agree to an extent that it wasn't as crazy as say the MGM. But that's more to do with the capacity and prices.

Chants weren't as active and the crowds I guess bored cause they did the wave. LOL

But to say not one is far fetched, the seats I happen to be in our section spoke boxing all night. Fun times.

The fight itself wasn't FOTY material but it was so much fun, the stadium is amazing and those tv's were something else, the crowd was great also (at least the ones around me) I was close enough to the ring to see the fight visibly but i always found myself looking up on the TV.

                    That place is something else.
