Mayweather would've had a much tougher time with Clottey.

It's a true testament off just how good his skills have improved and how great he has become. Mayweather would've beat Clottey.. but it would've been a close fight, not a landslide decision.
The title is true.. Pac kept Clottey in his shell all night, i don't believe Clottey could trouble Floyd at all either let alone hurt him

      why not?

is clottey not a limited activity fighter? is clottey not slow and flat-footed? does clottey not stand in front of you, not slip punches, not feint?

it would be a boring fight, even worse than last night's fight, but mayweather beats clottey easily in yet another $50 sparring session.

what does clottey do so well that would give mayweather trouble? besides hold his hands up and cover his face?

i know there is a real dislike for mayweather on this forum, but i don't understand some of you guy's posts.....

Clottey lets his hands go when a fight is at a moderate pace. Watch Clottey's past fights, he would some rounds against Mayweather. But Mayweather would certainly outpoint him.

Floyd would win a wide UD...the main problem is Floyd will not be directly in front of Clottey like Cotto was...

i was gonna answer with that, but you did it for me.

clottey lets his hands go when AN OPPONENT IS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF HIM.

he'd be hitting air all night, and getting countered. the fight would honestly look a lot like mayweather-baldomir.

Like I said, I don't think Floyd would pitch a shut out. Clottey isn't a push over.

Clottey wasnt there to win, he was there for the purse and to show he wouldnt get knocked out. He was already beaten even before stepping inside the ring.

Floyd would not have the same result only if Clottey would fight more against him, but with the same Josh of yesterday, Floyd gets a shotout without getting bruised in the face.
