if ike would have came out of prison and had the same power and speed that he had before he went to prison, there would be no fighter in the HW division that could beat him.he was a nightmare.when he KOed byrd i thought he had broke his neck.and even though i find byrd is a boring HW,he still has alot of skills.he has the fastest hands and movement in the HW.and if ike was fast enough to catch him, that leads me to believe there isnt anyone in the HW that he couldnt connect with.he would go through the HW division like a hot knife through butter.and just curious how many people in here believe that ike done what they say he done to end up in prison?Last edited by splittingatoms; 05-24-2005, 09:06 PM.

PS He wasnt swinging for the fences because Byrd couldn't hurt him, he was swinging for the fences because Byrd was frustrating him throughout the whole fight. He frequently missed and than got instructions from his corner to hit wherever shoulder, arm, chest etc...Last edited by Enayze; 05-24-2005, 09:26 PM.

so you are telling us that working byrd and stopping him is a bad is a bad fight.
well vk was cautios so cautios that he fought too many rounds with byrd (while winning them), if he cuold stop him earlier he would have won.
ike would land to the body because he had enough chin and speed to reach the body (and his corner wouls tell him to, hopefully).
pounding the body will tire vk (like anyone), and in the later part of the fight ike would win rounds and we would get to a decision (i exclude ike getting koed and pretty much the same applies to vk)
now what would it be like? it really dwpends on when the momentum shifts and when the judges perceive the shift.
I think it would be a close affair and since the slow work on the body needed to get to pressure and tire vk would not impress the vegas judges vk would most likely get the W, even in the case in which he actually won less rounds

well they're both big akward guys with good jabs, and both use their size too good advantage, the general consensus would be that lewis has more power, however you cannot overlook klitschko's KO percentage, and also bear in mind that most of lewis's knockouts cme early, but many of VK's have came late
[quote leff] lewis had better on punch powerLast edited by paul750; 05-25-2005, 10:30 AM.
