I didnt even find that out until today and I just think that is pretty ****in dope
Eddie is a cool guy who doesn't talk a lot of **** and I appreciate him for that. If he does win, I will congratulate him and wait for Vitali to avenge the loss as he always does for Wlad. But I just don't see Wlad losing this one in front of 50,000 Germans. He's going to want to put on a show, the kind he couldn't put on against Chagaev because of his shoulder injury.

Better than Williams, yes, better than Johnson, maybe, but better than Peter and Gomez at that stage in their careers, I think you are wrong here. he might get away with a win against Peter, but it would be hard going. He'd never beat Gomez, who was a consummate, much underrated fistic artist, with a KO punch.

As an undefeated cruiserweight champ. he must have had about 9=10 defences, and I think he took them all by KO.

As for Chambers' plan, to quote Tyson, everyone has a plan until they get hit in the face. Good-night Eddie, you're going down hard.
I think you have the blueprint right on the mark. All the talk about "saviours of the division" is only because the Klitschkos are not American. If they were, the talk would undoubtedly be that a foreigner would never be able to beat a home grown apple-pie American boy. etc.etc.....

I like to watch their almost unique styles, and unerring marksmanship. VK's dismantlying of Arreola recently was a spectacle in speedy punching and brilliant footwork, coupled with accurate punching, which had no end.......

I meant of course, "speedy, accurate punching". Sorry.

Yep -- no doubt about it. Americans would never talk about a division needing "saving" from an American champ. It's transparent xenophobia that they try to rationalize with all kinds of excuses, none of which hold up to scrutiny.

Vitali's handling of Arreola was a masterpiece indeed: he totally disproved all the xenophobes who call him "robotic," etc.

                LOL

                Whatever dude.

In Manny Pacquiao you're looking at an all time great who showed almost every combination in the book against Clottey.

In the Klits you have a couple of giants who can flash a jab and a right cross...and that's about it.

But if that's what you like then more power to you. Some of us don't go for that though, we remember what a truly skillful heavyweight should look like.

I have doubts that fast Eddie would come even remotely close to pulling it off but the American networks should be ashamed of themselves for pulling this boxing ***getry and not giving Chambers his chance to shine in front of his home country audience.

I agree, it's just so obvious that many americans think only american fighters can be any good, and refuse to give credit where it is due. Look at Calzaghe, how many people were predicting Lacy to KO him? Then Calzaghe dominates him and "Lacy was never any good" threads start popping up, so much for the boxing experts...
