Do Cotto or Margarito fight anything like Pacquiao?

When Cotto and Margarito upped their activity, Clottey had problems. Combine that activity with Pacquiao's speed and power, and spread it over 12 rounds.

That's why he was dominated. Take nothing away from Pac, but lets not make it out to be some amazing victory.

Against Margarito he fought the same exact way he did against Pac, except for the first 3-4 rounds before he "broke my hand" excuse, it just so happens that Margarito starts to pick up the pace in the middle rounds and that's when he felt the pressure poring into him and lost the fight at that moment. Against Cotto he did a little better, he fought a bit more like he did against Judah but when he had the chance to kill his man he went on a shield again like always, this guy is pathetic.

Lets not make it out to be a pushover fighter who's never had any good fights and sucks. He couldn't deal with the speed and power, period.

You're pretty pathetic, Clottey almost beat Margarito, and that was with one hand half the fight. Some people saw it as a draw and even a Clottey win, and that was WITH concrete in Margarito's gloves.

judging by the way those fights broke down, he had no chance to beat manny.

clottey is not a good finisher, and when pressure builds up, he clams up....that didn't just happen last night, that's how the guy is.

he could've knocked cotto out, but once cotto started to run (or move), and just fire punches, clottey clammed up, and didn't do much the last 4 rounds, and lost the fight.

manny's a different beast than either cotto or margarito, so don't be ridiculous and try and compare the three.

the fact was, clottey doesn't deal well with movement. he doesn't throw a lot of punches, and when he's fighting somebody that does, he goes into his turtle shell defense and tries to block everything, then he'll slip in a few punches when the fire ceases. he's not fast, he doesn't hit particularly hard, and he's a stationary target.

compare that to manny's style, and no, he didn't have a big chance at all. look at the odds for the fight, and look at most of the threads leading up to the fight.

i'm sorry if you were one of the ppl expecting a "war." but i saw josh clottey, be josh clottey.

Yes, he couldn't deal with it. We knew that as soon as the fight was signed.

That's why many people were calling this fight a mismatch. Not because Clottey isn't a good fighter, but because of the style match ups.

So, basically I'm questioning why the TS didn't expect a domination of every round.
