I thought the Soto-Diaz fight was okay, but I'm tired of watching Duddy and I hope he's not on future PPVs.

The Gomez-Castillo fight was depressing. It was sad to see a formerly great fighter who's now old and shot getting beaten up by someone who's below world-class.
Yea I agree. I am tired of seeing Duddy on PPV cards. He used to be somewhat exciting. He will never beat a top middleweight. A fight between him and Chavez Jr might be the most pointless fight to be made out there.
Castillo should have never even be signed to fight...Atleast not even on televised portion. I hope he is serious about retiring.

[QUOTE=jreckoning;7770624]I keep thinking they should put a lower weight, 126 or under championship fight on these undercards.

          This is a smart ideal!

the problem with PPV undercards is they go for name more than having good style matchups.

alright, lets be honest, Diaz-Soto probably could have been a little better...there was no bad matchmaking for that fight. I didnt really think it was bad anyway.

but having Castillo fight Gomez was an obvious name only kind of fight. Castillo has been totally done on the world stage for a while now, and Gomez...ehm meh.

Duddy is like a wtf always with his mediocreness.

thats what ESPN does so well(usually). they dont always have the best names, but they match them up right.
PPV undercards need to be based around excitement and entertainment, not name matches. most people just buy the card for the main event, let them be actually ENTERTAINED up till that starts, and forget about if casual fans recognize the names or not
