    What I Saw And Think....

I saw last night that when Manny faces someone that doesn't come straight at him swinging he is not very effective, i know he dominated but if you watch the fight you will see manny resorts back to the same thing time and time again and doesnt fight in accordance to what is going on, he uses the same movements that he practises in the gym and knows nothing else. He clearly does not fight in reaction to his opponant and just repeats the same patterns that freddy has taught him.

What i also saw was that manny is so vunerable to all of floyds fave punches, the counter right hand, the lead right hand and i also believe he would be very vunerable to floyds jab to the body and his lead left hooks.

Im not ****** though and know manny is a great fighter with heart, power, speed and he is just pure beast so i know it could go either way.

    your thoughts?

He didn't have to adjust to anything last night, he resorted to the same old things because the same old things won him EVERY SINGLE ROUND.

He would not fight like he did last night against Mayweather, and I think Mayweather's lead left hooks would be suicide against Pacquiao. Both fighters cancel many of each other's strengths out, I'm waiting to see Floyd against Mosley before I make a solid prediction.

but imo he has done those same things in his last 4 fights and even if he did learn new patterns for mayweather what happens when floyd figures them out (which wudnt take long imo) can manny adjust?

these are all questions that i dont think any1 can answer until we see it for real.

Make it happen Floyd and Manny winter 2010!!

Agreed. It's funny to me when people pick holes in Manny's performance. Like, what did u expect him to do? He consistently threw hard punches, crunching bodyshots, combinations of upto 9, 10 punches (can't remember the last time I saw Floyd throw a 4 punch combination) as well as jabs. His right hook worked. He was quick and extremely busy and his guard was high. He did get caught with a few Clottey shots, but this is boxing. Clottey took like 30, 40 seconds sometimes to find the opening to even land 1 or 2 punches.

So in other words you just think Manny is the same fighter all along but the opponents he has faced allow him to capitalize on his technique by being stationary objects for Pac to repeat his strategy.

Sorry, but outside pop-shotting on Floyd’s part will not keep Manny honest. As I said in another thread, even if the punches were blocked by Floyd Manny’s work rate alone would make an impression on the judges.

Totally agree, I would also like to wait and see how Mayweather/Mosley goes..

Mayweather doesnt block punches, He makes you miss by leaning back with his right hand guard his chin ready to counter punch and his left guarding his body with his eye open ready to pick you off.

He also moves alot which makes it difficult to pin him down and land on him, So yes Manny would be fighting someone totally different in style than he has been use to for a while now.
