I agree although I think Hatton at least tried to earn his money. De La Hoya and Clottey felt Pacquiao's power and went into damage limitation mode.

The sad thing is about 10 of the punches Clottey did land were from Pac letting him punch inside late in the fight.

That was a poor effort from Clottey. At some point you have to at least try and throw punches.

Yep, he was more worried about not getting knocked out than fighting. This clottey i don't know who he was when i see other clottey fights. I'm not knocking pac but feel that many fighters get away from their gameplan against pac and that is ******.

Just my opinion for what its worth, but I just don’t think Clottey has the instinctive grit to assert himself when it counts.

This is what cost him the Cotto fight and it definitely cost him this fight long before the bell rang sounding round 1.

Any man who trains as hard as these guys do and puts their life on the line in the ring earns their keep. Now did Clottey have the best strategy no but if you are fan of boxing and knows his style you will realize that he fights this ALL the time. Did he throw less than he normally does absolutely but its not like people weren't saying this fight was going to be one sided from the get go once goes into that turtle defense so no one should be surprised.

the difference is clottey would have given himself a better chance if he fought differently.

hatton could not no matter what he did.
