Before the OST fallout, I would have never given it even a thought that Pacquiao may be using steroids. But because Pacquiao refused the OST, you have to give it some thought. This is a sport, enhancing drugs are unfair, anyone in any sport who refuses a drug test deserves a second thought. Refusing a drug test in a sport, makes you look shady.
I personally don't think he does steroids to be honest.
Fair enough. But why didn't anybody care about OST when fighters such as Jones, Vargas and Toney tested positive and many others were being scrutinized? My point is, people are dwelling on Manny saying this is for the good of boxing, but I don't hear any of these same people questioning any other boxers or asking why isn't Floyd doing more for boxing if he really intends to clean it up and be the Malcom X and MLK jr of boxing? To me that reaks of insincerity. Jmo.

He could have spent interview time talking about the dangers of steroids
He could have lobbied for a national boxing czar
He could have lobbied sanctioning bodies like the wbc for better testing requirements to bypass state comissions
He has more than enough money and resources to start a non-profit health and drug education program for young athletes.
Instead simply talks **** about pacquiao being on steroids and frontin how he's going to clean up the sport without really doin ****.

I wouldve had no precedent to do so. But now I can use the failed comprimise between Pac and Floyd to support my stance. With great power, fame and respect come great responsibility. Pac has garned all of the aforementioned so hes a responsibility to ensure he has garned it all rightfully. Also Floyd has no power over testing for other fighters fights, but he has demanded the same test for shane who accepted with hesitation.
But you know what,
even though those boxers were found out,
virtually nobody gave a **** about it until Floyd made it his newest excuse.
Suddenly, an entire lot of you act as if you always cared about the issue.
But searching through the archives, I've not found one thread talking about the cleaning up of the sport before October 2009.

Iv wondered and asked fans that same question too, and no one can give a straight answer. No one said anything about this testing until the Mayweathers said something. Could Floyd really want to clean up boxing? Maybe so, but i dont believe it because, why not go straight to the commission to change the rules? Also why not test Marquez who he claimed beat Pac, or test any other fighters before then.I wish Pac would take the test just so we can see that fight, but if he dont want to do Floyds rules he shouldn't have too. Its like its impossible for Floyd to believe that maybe Pac just has God given talent.I dont mind the OST testing, and that needs to be something the commission regulates. If Floyd really wants to clean it up, he needs to address the commission, not just single out one fighter.
