    Blocked yes,

    but effective enough to make his opponent wary of throwing much in return.

    Theres a reason why Manny threw so much tonight.

    He couldn't allow the bigger, stronger man to get in a comfort zone and set up his game plan. Mannys speed allowed him to create a game plan based on volume punching to the body and head.

    The more Josh opened up, the more he got hit.

      Again Pac landed wicked shots to the body, landed more than Clottey did. If you know boxing, you would recognize how damaging those body shots were.

        Often times, they call such a sight, dominating and say they love to see such displays.

        Why the hypocrisy all of a sudden?

        These guys should be happy that Manny Pacquiao showed he can dominate a fight without knocking anyone out.

        Instead, they seem to be upset for some reason.
        I know dude, ive already read a few threads discrediting Pac for this dominant display its sickening.

        Pac even let Clottey in the pocket to punch him a few times so the fight could get underway, but Clottey was so scared of getting knocked out he decided to shell for 12 rounds.

          I seen more exciting things from Pacquiao's training videos than this fight.
          I doubt your knowledge of the sport then. If you did not see skills in that ring tonight, you don't recognize game when you see it because you probably don't know what game is. In other words you ain't got none.

            pacroid is a over hyped pile of CRAP and was exposed as such.

            the fight wasn't a dominating display. clottey landed at will. pacs head was snapping back from uppercuts AT WILL.

            i think the same marquez who fought mayweather gives pac ALL SORTS of problems.

            pacs eye was tagged over and over and he fought like a AMATEUR with his hands down.

            WHAT A JOKE.

            pac is a good fighter ONLY against come forward styles. like everyone thought.

Clottey only threw 399 punches against Pac, almost 200 less than JMM did against Money May, and landed 108, 40 more than JMM landed.. And Pac landed 246 of 1,231, with a pathetic 20% percent... 2 incomparable fights, and also Clottey landed a better percentage than Pac did... Mayweather throws less punches than his opponents and hits them with more punches and has higher connect percentages too... Just saying
              How boxing is scored.
              * Clean Punching (25%)
              * Effective Aggression (25%)
              * Ring Generalship (25%)
              * Defense (25%)
              Manny landed more clean punches, was much more effective with his aggression, controlled the pace of the fight and didn't get hit nearly as much as his opponent.

              All of that took skill, a proper game plan and execution.

              The scorecards read as a dominating performance.

              I saw it as a dominating performance. It wasn't the most exciting, but it got the job done.

              Is it really worth harping on the %?

              Really? Thats what its come down to, to degrade a performance now?

                lol, your a fool.

                I didn't see anything in there that made me go "ooooh, aaaah."

                Clottey sat there and Pacquiao threw punches. Whoopty doo. I seen more exciting things in Pacquiao's training videos.

                You obviously give Pacquiao WAY too much credit for everything he does. Nice try bak'la.
